New Funding Opportunities for Charities in Hampstead and Kilburn

Global Poverty Action Fund
UK Aid, the Department for International Development, has launched a new Global Poverty Action Fund to help brilliant charitable organisations save lives and do great things in the developing world.

There are two ways in which local charities can benefit:

  • The Innovation Fund is for smaller organisations that have an idea which could improve the lives of people living in the world's poorest countries. GPAF provides funding for the best, most innovative and ground-breaking projects.
  • The Impact Fund is for charities that have a succesful project up and running but have bigger ambitions. We want to invest in the most effective of these projects by matching - pound for pound - money raised by the local organisation so that they can expand their work in developing countries.

You can find out all you need to know about the funding scheme at www.dfid.gov.uk/gpaf

NatWest CommunityForce
NatWest are offering three community projects in each of their local markets the chance to win £6000 each. It will be the local residents of the area who will decide which projects benefit. It is about more than just financial support, it is also about connecting people to projects.

For more information please register at www.natwest.com/communityforce from the 25th July.
