   New funding available for Sport in Hampstead

Sport EnglandWe are pleased to announce that Sport England has launched several new funding programmes which could be available to help fund grassroots projects within Hampstead and Highgate. The new funding programmes will focus on a wide range of projects that will deliver against key outcomes of growing and sustaining participation in community sports as well as developing and accelerating talent. There are a number of funds available:

  • There is a new Small Grants Programme which offers a simple way for grassroots sports projects to access National Lottery grants of between £300 and £10,000.
  • Sportsmatch programme - £3 million of Exchequer funding will be available this year to match sponsorship from the private sector, trusts, charities and individuals. The maximum grant has been increased to £100,000.
  • From 12th May, the Sustainable Facilities Fund will be open to applications. This fund is designed to stimulate the market to ensure facilties continue to grow and sustain sport participation year after year.
  • Innovation fund - this is a new fund which will provide £5 million of Lottery funding this year to support innovative projects that use techniques and iniatives not tried before to breakdown barriers to participation.
