Help for businesses affected by the riots

Has your business been affected by the riots of August 2011?

The High street Fund is a registered charity set up to provide immediate financial help to small businesses that suffered material disruption, damage or destruction in the urban riots of August 2011.

The fund was set up by its Trustees Sir William castell LVO, Stephen O'Brien, Sir Richard Lambert, Anthony Salz and Naguib Kheraj. The funds totals over £4m thanks to the generosity of governmental, private and corporate donors, including Barclays, BP, Capita, Deloitte, Lloyds Banking Group, RBS, Santander and Shell.

Tens of thousands of pounds have been paid out to scores of businesses that were affected by the riots. With the end of payments under the riot act, it is now increasingly important that businesses know about the fund.

The closing date for applications is the 30th September 2011.
