Glenda has received her daffodil from Marie Curie Cancer Care and is wearing it with pride to support The Great Daffodil Appeal 2011 which runs throughout the month of March. Marie Curie has adopted the daffodil emblem because it is a widely recognised symbol of hope and renewal.
This cause is particularly close to Glenda's heart because Hampstead is priveleged to site one of the 9 hospices across the UK. The Hampstead Marie Curie Cancer Care Hospice has room for 34 patients who have been diagnosed with terminal diseases. The charity also supports the families of those suffering.
