Glenda is delighted to learn that the Labour government is to invest £14,766,000 in Brent's schools.
Glenda said:
"It's great to know that Brent's Building Schools for the Future plans have been given the green light.
"This announcement by the government is a clear indication of the commitment that we have to transform the shape of education in our communities and will enable future generations to reap the rewards of these fantastic new learning environments and facilities.
"I'm genuinely excited about what can be achieved thanks to this funding. It is worth remembering that the Tories are committed to cutting the BSF budget which just goes to show how much they care about delivering better school buildings in Brent."
Schools Secretary Ed Balls added:
"Building Schools for the Future is the most ambitious public building programmes for decades, rebuilding or refurbishing every secondary school in the country, transforming the way teachers teach and young people learn.
"All this would be put at risk by Conservative plans to slash the school building programme by £4.5 billion."
