   ACT ON CO2

ActOnCo2On 9 October 2009 a new campaign was launched to raise awareness and understanding of the causes and consequences of climate change and to persuade people that we all need to take action now to mitigate the likelihood of dangerous climate change in the future.

We all have a part to play in preventing climate change. Every step we can take to reduce our carbon footprint is important. By doing this, not only do we help the environment, but we also reduce our energy and fuel consumption, making our energy bills more affordable. Individuals are responsible for more than 40 per cent of carbon emissions. These emissions come mainly from energy use at home and through travelling.

To find out more about the campaign, visit www.direct.gov.uk/ActOnCO2 or call the ACT ON CO2 advice line on 0800 512 012.
