Tricycle Theatre, 10th July 2011 4.30pm
As part of the Kilburn Film Festival, don’t miss a very special and rare afternoon at the Tricycle!
Watch the British classic A Touch of Class followed by a Q&A with Oscar winning MP Glenda Jackson, hosted by Kate Kinninmont, Chief Executive, Women in Film and Television (WFTV).
Glenda Jackson leads as Vicki Allesio, a divorced fashion designer and mother of two, alongside George Segal who plays Steve Blackburn, a married insurance executive. The pair bump into each other wherever they go and, finally bowing to the inevitable, Steve and Vicki fall in love. He suggests a romantic rendezvous in Spain…but nothing, absolutely nothing, goes as planned.
A comedy of errors ending on an unexpected note of pathos, A Touch of Class was nominated for four Academy Awards, and earned Glenda Jackson a Best Actress Oscar.
