Glenda was absolutely
delighted to welcome six veterans up to the House of Commons on
Friday 14th November for a celebration of their contribution to
this nation's victory in the Second World War. The
afternoon began with lunch in a formal dining room within the
House, followed by coffee and a toast to the Veterans. They were
then taken on a full tour of the House of Lords and the House of
Commons. While at the lunch, every veterans received their
veteran's badge of honour which we had applied for on their behalf.
It was very inspiring yet humbling to hear the war stories and
listen to heroes who had fought so bravely and selflessly.
The names of the Veteran's (photo right) who came up to collect
their badges are:
- Ms Sebba
- Mrs Kerr
- Ms Coulton
- Prof Rose
- Mr Fulton
- Mr Deller
If you think that you or anyone you know is eligible for a
veteran's badge, then please do get in touch with us and
we can do all the paperwork for you. Please note that we can only
do this for our constituents.
