We are pleased to
announce that Fitzjohn's Primary School in Hampstead has been
awarded £10,475 by EDF Energy Green Fund for the installation of
Solar Panels.
The fund aims to showcase renewable energy technologies and
energy efficiency projects for the benefit of the local commmunity
and environment. Customers who choose renewable energy for their
home through our Green Tariff make a voluntary contribution which
equates to less than £15 a year for the average household. This
money is matched by EDF Energy and has resulted in the awarding of
£3.6 million to around 200 renewable energy projects since the
Green Fund was launched in 2001.
Applications for funding are welcomed from non profit and
charitable organisations, and organisations involved in education
or work at community level. Awards of up to £30,000 are available
for installation projects in England, Scotland and Wales,
and also up to £5000 for feasibility studies. We would like
to encourage other schools in our constituency to apply for the
grant. For more details of how to apply, please
contact Rajan Lakhani on 020 7752 2196 or contact our office.
